Nazri: Wrong to say civil court can’t decide on issue
KUALA KANGSAR: The Islamic Development Department is wrong to say there cannot be two sets of laws and rules to deal with the “Allah” controversy.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz said Malaysia had both Syariah and civil court.
“If that’s the case, we might as well close down the Syariah (courts) and use civil (courts) only,” he said yesterday after attending a Ponggal festival.
Nazri argued that if Jakim director-general Datuk Wan Mohamad Sheikh Abdul Aziz wanted Christians from east Malaysia to respect the culture and norms of Muslims in the peninsula, which had enactments barring non-Muslims from using the word “Allah”, he should respect east Malaysians who use the word “Allah” in their church.
He was responding to Wan Mohamed’s statement in a report in an online news portal yesterday.
Nazri, who is also the de-facto Law Minister, said he was merely saying what has been the norm for years.
Asked whether the Government was worried about repercussions from Sabahans and Sarawakians, Nazri said there was no law in the two states which barred the use of the word “Allah” by non-Muslims.”
“In the peninsula, however, where the Sultans are the head of religion in their state, there are such enactments.”
In George Town, DAP chairman Karpal Singh described as “illogical” Nazri’s view that only Christians in Sabah and Sarawak be allowed to use the word “Allah”.
“The use of the word should be allowed throughout Malaysia. Until the High Court decision is set aside, this is the law,” he said at a press conference. He said it was unconstitutional for any state enactment to specify that the word “Allah” could not be used by non-Muslims.

hello hello .
being all pijak kepala by some people is not cool at all. let alone to have your life being controlled by people's opinion. no, those things are meant to make you stronger kan but if too much i think boleh mati la kan. Being too "idontgiveafuck-ish" or maybe blinded by the whole "sabar" word at MOST of the time can seriously break me lah. Bukan ape, i am patient la kan unless if you get on my last nerves, i dont wanna see your fucking face again. But what makes me not able to strike dow. i dont know. why am i just so fuckin soft when it comes to things like this?? Nggak ada jawapan untuk diriku, apatah lagi untuk kalian. I mean my whole life kan, it consist of bad and negative impacts, no doubt it all has made me wiser, but then when the whole regret shit starts to kick in and all, time tu la aku dah start mengenang nasib. Im thankful for shit that happened to me, if not i wouldn't be where i am today la kan.. still figuring where i should be tho.

I shouldn't be questioning this, but pernah tak you felt betrayed ke apa ke before this. Seriously kan, kadang-kadang aku fed up sial dapat kawan cam pantat. birdbrain berlagak cam bagus, but the fact that they're fucked up deep down inside, denial is the word that explains it all. we all live in denial kan. bipolar disorder ke schizophrenia ke. sukati kau la nak cakap apa kan. i dont suffer from those, but i think some people do, they just dont realize it :). ahahaha. i think that'll be a good informative speech now for my BEL innit? Well it should be. I dont like the whole uitm thinggamajigga at the mo' coz they rescheduled my whole effing timetable and now its all scattered. i mean wtf, kalau camtu baik tayahhhh ade online registration, ni smua SANGAT DIKESALI OLEH RAMAI PIHAK. kimak tol. i mean have a proper system for crying out loud, tau la fees murah takyah la gampang gini. adoiai. Dah la i cannot get along with the class people, i mean frok my previous group kan ada like.. 5 of us je kot. wtf kan? URGH. Geram. Can i pls tukar group? Me no likeyy me group
And one more thing, i mean u dont have the balls to face me like a man, i dont know why. Biar lah. you wanted a "change" kan. Did you even change a bit? hahah. Dont la make me laugh wei. Malaysia's history began hundreds of years before Parameswara sat under that faithful tree and the golden age of the Muslim Malacca Empire.
The iconic empire which has been used to represent the Malay spirit was originally a Hindu dynasty and so were the other great kingdoms in the country.
Other great “lost” Hindu kingdoms include the second-century Gangga Negara in Perak, the ancient Langkasuka founded in Kedah, third-century Pan Pan in Kelatan and the old Kedah kingdom of Kadaram.
Only then came the Muslim sultanates of Malacca, Kedah, Johor and Sulu.
The rich history of Malaysia proves that the country has always been a centre of trade and culture where people of different religions lived together without prejudice.
Even the great ancient Greek scholar, Ptolemy, referred to the Malay peninsula as the Golden Chersonese or golden peninsula.
The Malay culture is a testament of the early kingdoms and modern Malaysia, a mixture of different religious and cultural practices.
The traces of our history could be seen through the influence of Sanskrit and Arabic in Bahasa Malaysia.
Such influences include the Sanskrit word Tuhan.
Therefore it surprised me when some Muslims argue that if the Christians use the word "Allah", it will deviate the religion and its followers.
If this is true then is it blasphemous for Muslims to use the word Tuhan which is used to describe the Hindu deity?
Are our young Muslim children in danger of deviating from Islam when they the sing “Negaraku” and pledge the Rukunegara during the morning assembly?
Or have the imams all over Malaysia sinned when they recite, “Ya Allah, Ya Tuhanku,” in their doa during Friday prayers?
The hardliners have also argued that the Christians cannot use the word "Allah" because Muslims would not be able to differentiate Islam and the other religions.
How is this so? Islam is not about the literal emphasis but a deeper understanding.
Revered Muslim scholars and founders of Islamic schools of thought have emerged from a region where both Christians and Muslims use the word "Allah".
Both the Bible and the Quran use Arabic in the region but what differentiates the two?
The meaning and teachings from the sacred revelations.
I think the fear is not Islam but Malay supremacy because religion and race have been intertwined in the country that the community believes that Islam is their right.
The lines between race and religion have been blurred that the Malays believe that their culture is Islam itself to the extent that social acts which were Hindu in origin have become Islamic.
The extremists believe that the non-Malays will use Islam to jeopardize Malay rights and standing in the country.
But Islam is not for a few but for all and preaches equality. This is best illustrated in the Prophet Muhammad's last sermon.
"All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has superiority over an Arab.
"Also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has superiority over white except piety and good action."
Even if the problem is Islam and the word "Allah", why is there such fear?
One of the leaders during the demonstration explained that the use of the word "Allah" is only the beginning and that "they will use Prophet Muhammad."
As a Muslim, is it not an honor that any religion would use the word "Allah" and our beloved Prophet to preach love and compassion?
It saddened me when three churches were attacked yesterday because Islam is not hate.
Islam's love can be seen through the Prophet's father-in-law, closest companion, adviser and first Caliph.
Before each battle, Abu Bakar would warned his generals not to disturb any saints and worshipers of other religions and not to destroy any places of worship.
But yesterday, a group of terrorists decided to desecrate several places of worship in the name of "Allah."
Their actions do not only insult Islam but belittle the beautiful religion.
I urge all Muslims to deplore these unIslamic acts and show the world the true meaning of Islam.

I'll tell you how i like it . Hahahhaha. Pagi-pagi dah kena kejut dengan pitbull dah, ceneh ? Wahahaha. Oh yes, another thing is, i sedang memikirkan bagaimana untuk mendapatkan sumber inspirasi for this coming semester. But first of all, a cliche new year wish, happy new year to all, forgive my wrongdoings and you know what to those who i've hurt or those who has hurt me, its all zero baby. New year, new chapter, new people, new this and that. ITS A FRESH START. Ha semalam iqa said buy doughnuts and eat, to bring goodluck. Shit. Nanti gi beli n makan. hahahah. Prosperity la konon kan. NOT. So anyways, NYE was quite off, but i enjoyed it alot. although ade bruises here and there, i mean nigga !! Whatta kwannnnn! ahaha. Sakit body kiri kanan. Phewhh. Next time kirim kat sherrr je ma smirrnofffffalovables. Huhuhuh. We dont need ecstacy or booze to get high. Laughter is the best medicine. And shut your piehole fuckface, i wasnt drunk okay, some fucker go bukak cerita to you and no, i wasnt drunk when u saw me at the fucking mamak, besides it was 10pm, who the fuck gets drunk 10 pm and hangs out at a mamak? Next up! This year i hope and pray for exitement, knowledge experience strength discipline and patience. Hehehe. I gotta struggle sikit for the grades. Lets talk about love? Am i ready to step in the zone? Hmm maybe, if it happens, why not. If it doesnt, im not gonna throw myself out there to sacrifice myself buta-buta. Been there, done that. Left me feeling used and abused. So in my life, heartache and pain, i dont know if i can face it again. But like i said, love comes again someday, who knows when. Either embrace it or ignore it. Kan? yes yes. NYE was at bangsar, twentyone. Old people nye club, youngsters nye groove. How? Dont ask. Just enjoy la kan, afterall age is just a bunch of digits meant to confuse the maturity of an individual. :)
