Everyone has had there heart broken a time or two and anyone who denies it is blatantly lying to your face. Love isn't easy and maybe that's why people crave it so much. Some people will tell you that it's not the love that hurts but, rather the loss of love. It may seem this way but, when we really think about it there would never be pain of lost love if there was no love to begin with.
Loosing love is without a doubt one of the most emotionally painful things a person can survive. After all, we aren't just talking about romantic love. We are talking about love of all kinds; love between friends, family, teachers, and anyone we may find ourselves emotionally attached to. Love is 90% of who we are, it's what gives us hope and keeps us alive.
How do you know that you've found love of any kind? You know when you've exposed yourself, made yourself vulnerable by letting yourself become dependent. You are probably wondering why I used a word as strong as, "dependent" but, the truth is that's what we become when we find ourselves emotionally attached. Trusting in a person is dependence, it's dependence upon that person for support and mercy when we fall down.
The truth is though people are always going to let us down and they will always fall short of our expectations in one way or another. We need to rise above and help them back up on there feet. We need to let them know that it's okay that they aren't perfect; after all, it is our nature to make mistakes that is what makes us human in every way. There will never be a time though when love doesn't hurt us or make us feel as though we can't get up but, you have to keep getting up. Take the time you need to heal and forgive then get back out in the game because, that is where you belong. Love will always find you and believe it or not eventually the right kind of love you seek will land in you hands. It's up to you though to hold on to it and treat it right.
Love is always going to be apart of your life and so it is safe to say some pain will follow; but, at the end of the day all that really matters is that all the tears you shed and gallons of ice cream you inhale are worth it.
